Placements24 is seeking a diligent Site Engineer to oversee residential construction projects in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will supervise site operations, interpret drawings, manage subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with approved plans, quality standards, and timelines.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree or Construction Management diploma, at least 4 years in site supervision, strong leadership, HSE knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 4+ years of practical experience in site engineering or supervisory roles on residential construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction specs.
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and quality control.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all on-site construction activities for residential housing projects.
• Ensure work adheres to approved plans, specs, and quality standards.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and document progress and deviations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site labor for efficient workflow.
• Interpret drawings and specifications for site teams.
• Manage site resources (materials, equipment, labor) to optimize productivity.
• Maintain accurate site records (progress, materials usage, incident logs).
• Liaise with project manager, design team, and client reps to address queries.
