Stantec’s Buildings team in New Zealand is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer to join our Auckland office. You’ll apply hydraulic design within building services, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on data centres, healthcare, and other facilities.

You bring a Mechanical Engineering degree, ~3 years of consulting or engineering experience, and solid knowledge of NZ Building Code. This full-time role offers professional development, flexible work arrangements, and opportunities to advance

Qualificações

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
• NZ Building Code knowledge and relevant ANZ Standards
• Around 3 years’ professional experience in consulting/engineering
• Hydraulic building services experience: domestic water, sanitary, stormwater
• Strong design and construction understanding for hydraulic works
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Initiative and collaborative mindset
• Desire to progress toward Chartered Professional Engineer status (favourable)

Responsabilidades

• Undertake hydraulic engineering assessments and calculations for building system design.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders including authorities and commercial organisations.
• Demonstrate strong organisation and time management alongside technical design.
• Manage workloads while maintaining relationships within Stantec teams locally and across the network.
• Develop professional profile through successful project delivery.
• Maintain high service levels and client responsiveness.
• Assist with project coordination and business development support.
• Support senior engineers to deliver projects on time, budget, and quality.
• Adhere to professional standards, ethics, and quality procedures.
• Contribute positively to team culture and collaborative work environment.
