Job summary

Remarkable Scenic Tours in Queenstown is seeking a Tourism Operations & Travel Coordinator for a part-time, hybrid role. You will manage tour reservations, support travel consultants, and help craft personalised New Zealand itineraries.

The role requires strong organisation, excellent communication, and proficiency with Xero and Microsoft Office. Applicants must be locally based in Queenstown and ready to start immediately, with 20–40 hours weekly and a $35 NZD hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience in tourism reservations, itinerary planning or a similar admin role is highly regarded.
• Experience with Xero accounting software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Confident, friendly, and professional communication with clients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage tour reservations, bookings and confirmations.
• Assist travel consultants with researching, developing and updating personalised New Zealand itineraries.
• Liaise with accommodation providers, activity operators and tourism partners.
• Coordinate drivers, guides and daily tour schedules.
• Assist clients with questions, concerns and changes while travelling.
• Manage client payments, invoicing and payment follow-ups using Xero.
• Prepare travel documentation and maintain booking records.
• Provide general administration and operational support.
