Placements24 is seeking a Research Scientist to join a Pharmaceutical Development team in East London. The role focuses on advancing drug candidates from discovery through preclinical development, emphasizing formulation, process development, and analytical characterization in a state-of-the-art lab.

The position combines hands-on laboratory work with data analysis and reporting in a hybrid setup, requiring a PhD and at least 3 years in pharma R&D, with expertise in formulation and analytical

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related.
• Minimum 3 years' pharma R&D experience focusing on formulation development.
• Hands-on experience with formulation types and drug delivery systems; analytical techniques like HPLC.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust pharmaceutical formulations for small molecules and/or biologics.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies, including solubility, stability, and compatibility testing.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for the characterization of drug products.
• Investigate and optimize manufacturing processes for drug substances and drug products.
• Prepare technical documentation, study reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including discovery, DMPK, and regulatory affairs.
