Job summary

Placements24 client, a mid-sized logistics company in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist. You will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain records, and ensure compliance with SA labour laws and tax regulations.

Hybrid role with in-office collaboration and remote work for focused tasks; you will handle deductions, benefits administration, payroll reporting, and respond to employee payroll queries while protecting confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Matriculation certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of payroll administration experience in SA.
• Strong knowledge of SA payroll laws, tax regulations, and UIF submissions.
• Experience with payroll software such as VIP, Sage VIP or PaySpace.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll accurately.
• Ensure compliance with BCEA, LRA, UIF, PAYE, and related legislation.
• Maintain employee payroll records and update for hires, terminations, changes.
• Calculate deductions, reimbursements, and benefits; generate payroll reports.
