Selwyn District Council in Rolleston, NZ is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support end-to-end payroll for 650+ staff across fortnightly and monthly cycles, ensuring accuracy and timely processing while maintaining confidential records.

You will review processes, assist with reporting (LGOMIA, OIA), audits, and document SOPs. A 3–5+ year payroll background, knowledge of Holidays Act and Income Tax, and experience with Datapay/Biotime or similar are essential.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5+ years payroll experience
• Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and NZ regulations including Income Tax and Holidays Act
• Proficient with time and attendance systems and payroll software

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
• Maintain employee records and respond to payroll enquiries
• Maintain payroll process documentation and SOPs; identify and implement improvements
• Assist People Team with monthly and ad hoc reporting (LGOMIA, OIA)
• Generate accurate payroll data and payroll reporting
• Assist with audits
