Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Child Development Officer to support the developmental needs of children in Queenstown, with a hybrid work model that combines on-site engagement and remote planning tasks. The role focuses on assessing progress, tailoring support, and partnering with families and educators to foster growth.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in early childhood development or related fields, strong communication skills, and proven experience in developmental assessments

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a hybrid setting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct developmental screenings and assessments for children aged 0-6 years.
• Develop and implement individualized development plans for children requiring extra support.
• Provide guidance and training to parents and caregivers on child development principles.
• Collaborate with early childhood educators to integrate developmental support into classroom activities.
• Monitor children's progress and document observations and interventions effectively.
• Identify children who may require referral to specialized services (e.g., speech therapy, occupational therapy).
• Organize and facilitate workshops and information sessions for parents and community members.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments and interventions.
• Stay current with best practices and research in child development.
• Contribute to program evaluation and improvement efforts.

Educación
