Qualifications

• Qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a childcare setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• First Aid and CPR certification (up-to-date).
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a classroom of young children (ages 2-4), ensuring safety and well-being.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of childcare educators.
• Conduct regular staff performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding progress and centre activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Plan and execute engaging learning experiences including arts, crafts, music and outdoor play.
• Observe and document children's development, progress and milestones.
• Manage classroom resources and supplies.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
