Job summary

Excel Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Auckland is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to work across commercial and industrial sites, servicing a wide range of systems and delivering practical solutions.

You will join an established team responsible for keeping customers' HVAC assets operating reliably, with day-to-day duties including servicing, fault diagnosis, maintenance, site work, documentation, and mentorship of apprentices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years commercial HVAC experience.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing commercial HVAC and ventilation systems.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
• Work across diverse commercial and industrial sites.
• Complete service documentation and communicate with customers.

Excel Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Auckland is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician. This is a varied role working across commercial and industrial sites, servicing a wide range of HVAC, air conditioning and ventilation systems. You’ll join an experienced group delivering quality service and practical solutions within a growing business.

The Role

Working as part of our Auckland team, you’ll be responsible for keeping our customers’ HVAC systems operating reliably and efficiently.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Servicing and repairing commercial HVAC and ventilation systems
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
• Working across a diverse range of commercial and industrial sites
• Completing service documentation and communicating with customers
• Supporting and sharing your knowledge with apprentices

About You

We’re looking for a capable and experienced technician who takes pride in delivering quality work and enjoys being part of a team.

You’ll bring:

• A minimum of 5 years commercial HVAC experience
• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and mechanical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Reliable, positive attitude and pride in your work
• Willingness to support and mentor apprentices

You’ll need the following:

• NZ HVAC qualification or recognised equivalent
• Current EST licence and Approved Fillers Ticket
• The right to live and work in New Zealand
