Job summary

Blanket Bay is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor in Queenstown to uphold the lodge’s exemplary appearance standards across rooms, public areas and back of house. You will allocate rooms and duties to housekeeping staff, inspect rooms, and train new employees to maintain a five-star level of service.

The role requires rostered shifts, including weekends and some evening turn-downs. Staff accommodation is available, and a reliable means of transport is essential.

Qualifications

• NZQF Level 4 or equivalent is required or at least 3 years relevant experience.
• Will supervise housekeeping staff and allocate rooms/duties.
• Involves inspecting rooms and training new employees.
• Rostered shifts including weekends; some evening turn-downs may be required.

We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor

Someone with an eye for detail and a desire to provide housekeeping service at the highest level.

The successful applicant with be willing to work on a rostered basis, including weekends. Some turn down shifts during the evenings will be required.

The position involves working with our Executive Housekeeper to maintain the exemplary appearance standards of our lodge; including rooms, public areas and back of house. You will be required to allocate rooms and duties to housekeeping staff, to inspect rooms and to train new employees. You should have NZQF level 4 or equivalent or at least 3 years relevant experience.

Staff accommodation is available in Glenorchy. However a means of transport to get to and from work is essential.

This is a full time, permanent position with a minimum of thirty hours per week. The minimum rate of pay is $28 per hour and the maximum is $30 per hour.

All leave entitlements are as per New Zealand legislation.
