Job summary

Millbrook Resort in Arrowtown, NZ is seeking a dedicated housekeeping team member to deliver high-end cleaning across luxury accommodations, spa, and dining areas. The role involves a hands-on, physically active workload, with a focus on ensuring guests experience pristine spaces and seamless service.

You will perform checkout cleans, daily servicing, and report maintenance needs promptly, supporting a collaborative team that values punctuality, accuracy, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning in a five-star hotel or similar environment.
• Strong work ethic and excellent time management.
• Clear communication with guests and team members.
• Attention to detail and proactive maintenance reporting.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct check-out cleans including beds, bathrooms, dusting and restocking.
• Provide daily room service to maintain a clean, welcoming space.
• Report maintenance issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Work across indoor and outdoor areas in a hands-on role.
• Commit to weekends and public holidays as required.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible forcheck-out cleans, which include making beds, scrubbing bathrooms, dusting,vacuuming, mopping floors, and restocking supplies. Daily room servicing isalso a key part of the role, ensuring our guests return to a clean, tidy, andwelcoming space. You will also report any maintenance issues in a timely mannerto ensure a seamless guest experience.

This is a hands-on, physically active role involvingrepetitive tasks and movement throughout your shift. You will be working inboth indoor and outdoor environments, making it ideal for those who enjoy beingactive and surrounded by nature in one of New Zealand’s most stunning resortsettings.

• Cleaningexperience in five-star Hotel or comparable environment preferred
• Have astrong work ethic, excellent time management skills and take pride in highstandards of cleanliness and presentation
• Communicateclearly and respectfully with both guests and team members
• Showattention to detail and a proactive approach to reporting maintenanceissues
• Abilityto work on independently while also being a strong team player
• Bereliable, punctual, and able to respond to a variety of situations with acollaborative and flexible approach
• Bephysically fit and capable of handling the demands of a hands-on,fast-paced environment, as role involves regular manual handling,repetitive tasks, and being on your feet for long periods of time
• Abilityto work weekends and public holidays in line with operational requirements
• DriversLicence advantageous

Hours:

Full-time permanent and fixed-term seasonal positionsavailable(30 hours per week guaranteed)

Hourly Rate:

$26.50-28.00 gross per hour
