Job summary

Colonial Group at Mantra Lake Tekapo is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily cleaning operations, mentor the team, and uphold top-tier cleanliness and safety for guests. You will supervise activities, optimize workload distribution, and drive productivity to maintain consistent service standards.

The role is permanent full-time with shifts that may include weekends and public holidays, offering a dynamic, hands-on leadership position in a guest-focused hotel environment.

Qualifications

• NZ Diploma or equivalent, or minimum 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Experience leading a housekeeping team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Foster team motivation and growth by providing guidance and training to enhance their skills

• Ensure safety standards are met, monitoring labour costs and conducting daily room inspections for quality assurance

Purpose

As Housekeeping Supervisor, you are the driving force behind our Housekeeping team's success! You oversee the achievement of daily cleaning excellence, uplift team spirits, and shape our Housekeeping team into cleanliness champions. With your coaching finesse, you will guarantee our team consistently delivers top-tier cleanliness and productivity, ensuring a sparkling and secure stay for our guests.

Mantra Lake Tekapo, 1 Beauchamp Place, Lake Tekapo 7999, New Zealand

Contract Type:

Permanent Full-Time

Hours:

Minimum 30, Maximum 48 hours

Pay Rate:

28-29 NZD per hour

Minimum Experience/Qualifications:

NZ Diploma or equivalent, OR minimum 3 years’ relevant experience

• Willingness to not only lead the team but to also work alongside them to ensure their success
• Reliable transportation and availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays
