Job summary

Momentus Hotel Alexandra in Queenstown, New Zealand, seeks a maintenance technician to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance across plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and civil tasks. You will manage painting and finishing work, service HVAC and refrigeration systems, and support energy conservation and fire-safety initiatives.

Candidate should have at least 1 year of related experience and be able to follow safety protocols while performing varied hotel maintenance duties.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related maintenance experience.
• Basic electrical and mechanical skills.
• Ability to perform painting/finishing tasks.
• Willingness to operate and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance on plumbing and sanitary systems.
• Operate and maintain mechanical equipment such as air conditioning systems, freezers, pumps, and other refrigeration equipment.
• Perform painting, polishing and varnishing works at the hotel.
• Maintain and repair electrical installations and equipment including generators and lighting.
• Assist in energy conservation programmes and participate in fire-safety exercises.
• Take on additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Officer / Assistant Chief Engineer.
