Job summary

Genius Early Years seeks a qualified Early Childhood Education Teacher to join our Home-Based Early Learning Service as a Visiting Teacher in Marlborough/Nelson. This permanent part-time role starts at 15 hours/week with potential to grow as the network expands.

Qualifications

• an early childhood teaching qualification (minimum Diploma of Teaching)
• experience in leading adults, including mentoring and coaching
• a full clean NZ driver's license
• knowledge of professional practice in early childhood education
• understanding of Ministry of Education legislation
• ability to juggle a varied workload
• self-motivated and enthusiastic
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• ability to build and maintain professional relationships
• experience with learning stories, programme planning and some administration

Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and support to in-home Educators.
• Travel around Marlborough/Nelson region to support Educators and the team.
• Support Educators and nannies/au pairs to deliver high-quality early learning outcomes.
• Offer guidance and coaching to Educators to ensure best practices.
