Job summary

Genius Early Years in Marlborough is seeking a qualified Visiting Teacher to lead and support our in-home Educators. This part-time role starts at 15 hours per week and may grow as the network expands.

Based in the Marlborough/Nelson region, you will travel to support our Educators, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality early childhood education across the region. A Diploma of Teaching and current NZ Education Council practicing certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified, fully registered Early Childhood Education Teacher.
• Diploma of Teaching or higher qualification.
• Current NZ Education Council practicing certificate.
• Experience leading adults, including mentoring and coaching.
• Full clean NZ driver's license.
• Knowledge of MOE legislation and professional practice in ECE.

Join our Home-Based Early Learning Service Team, as a Visiting Teacher.

If you are passionate about home-based childcare and enjoy Variety and Flexible working conditions in a fun environment, you will enjoy this role providing professional leadership and support to our in-home Educators.

This role is part time starting on 15 hours per week with the opportunity to increase as the network grows. This permanent part-time position would be based in the Marlborough/Nelson region. The successful applicant would need to be prepared to travel around the regions to support our Educators and team.

Genius Early Years is looking for someone who has:

• an early childhood teaching qualification (minimum Diploma of Teaching)
• current full NZ Education Council practicing certificate
• experience in leading adults, including mentoring and coaching
• a full clean NZ driver's license.
• knowledge of professional practice in early childhood education
• understanding of Ministry of Education legislation.
• ability to juggle a varied workload
• excellent time management skills

• excellent verbal and written communication skills
