Job summary

Genius Early Years in Dunedin is seeking a Visiting Teacher to support home-based Educators/Nannies and Au Pairs across the Dunedin/Otago region. This part-time role starts at around 10 hours per week, with potential to grow as the network expands.

The ideal candidate holds an early childhood teaching qualification (Diploma or higher) and a current NZ Education Council practicing certificate. Travel across the region is required to support Educators and ensure high-quality learning experiences

Qualifications

• Qualified, fully registered Early Childhood Education Teacher.
• Current NZ Education Council practicing certificate.
• Experience leading adults with mentoring and coaching.
• Knowledge of professional practice in early childhood education.
• Understanding of Ministry of Education legislation.
• Ability to juggle a varied workload and excellent time management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Experience with learning stories, programme planning and some administration.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide home-based Educators/Nannies and Au Pairs.
• Provide high-quality early learning outcomes for Tamariki and whanau.
• Travel around the Dunedin/Otago region to support Educators and team.
• Assist with learning stories, programme planning and some administration.
