Genius Early Years In Home Childcare in the Marlborough/Nelson region is seeking a Visiting Teacher to lead and support our home-based Educators. This part-time role starts at 15 hours per week with potential to increase as the network grows. Travel across Marlborough/Nelson region is required.

Qualifications

• Early childhood teaching qualification (minimum Diploma of Teaching).
• Current full NZ Education Council practicing certificate.
• Experience in leading adults, including mentoring and coaching.
• A full clean NZ driver’s license.
• Knowledge of professional practice in early childhood education.
• Understanding of Ministry of Education legislation.
• Ability to juggle a varied workload.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
• Experience with learning stories, programme planning and some administration.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and leadership to in-home Educators/Nannies/Au Pairs.
• Support Educators while traveling around Marlborough/Nelson region.
• Ensure high-quality early childhood learning experiences for Tamariki and whānau.
• Collaborate with the team to plan and implement programmes.
• Assist in mentoring adults and building sustainable home-based care networks.
