Job summary

Grada Recruitment seeks a Temporary Works Design Engineer for high-rise construction projects across NZ and Australia. The role emphasizes deep temporary works and challenging structural problems with ownership of design work.

You will contribute to jump form systems and major Auckland projects, backed by senior engineers, with a strong focus on delivering buildable, code-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of structural or construction engineering experience.
• Temporary works design experience.
• Strong first-principles structural design capability.
• Experience with Strand7 preferred, or SpaceGass as a minimum.
• NZ construction experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design temporary works and construction engineering solutions.
• Perform structural analysis and first-principles calculations.
• Support jump form and high-rise construction packages.
• Collaborate directly with contractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Develop practical, buildable solutions around construction methodology.
• Take designs from concept through to documentation and delivery.
