Job summary

Salt, based in Te Awamutu, is seeking a qualified Heavy Diesel Engineer or Diesel Mechanic with at least two years of workshop experience to join our team. You'll diagnose faults, service and repair a range of agricultural and construction equipment to manufacturer standards, in our workshop and on-site as needed.

Experience with agricultural machinery is highly regarded; candidates from construction equipment or heavy diesel fleets are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified Heavy Diesel Engineer or Diesel Mechanic with workshop experience.
• Experience with agricultural machinery is highly regarded.
• Strong diagnostic capability and pride in workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Work predominantly in the workshop with field service occasionally.
• Mentor apprentices and help grow skilled tradespeople.
