Job summary

Stellar Recruitment partners with a leading heavy equipment service provider to recruit an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic for their Nelson-based team. You will work across construction and forestry sectors, servicing a range of heavy equipment while being supported by a well-established and growing business.

This role offers a mix of workshop and field service work, with a close-knit team of experienced technicians and supportive leadership focused on safety, quality workmanship, and strong

Qualifications

• NZQA Level 4 Heavy Diesel qualification or equivalent trade qualification.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults across a range of construction and forestry equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Work both in the workshop and on-site supporting customers when required.
• Accurately complete service reports, job documentation, and maintenance records.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard of workmanship.
