Job summary

IGP Group’s Te Awamutu workshop is seeking a Heavy Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and overhaul truck components, and perform routine maintenance to keep customers on the road.

Located in Te Awamutu (or Hinuera), the role offers off-site call-out rotations, ongoing coaching, and opportunities for career growth within the IGP Group. Training provided to excel with our brands and service standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Technician or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with franchise brands is a bonus.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Service‑oriented mindset and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul truck components including engines, transmissions, final drives, air systems, and chassis components.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing.
• Handle off-site call-outs on a rotation basis to get customers back on the road quickly.

Our Te Awamutu workshop (previously HTSL) is on the hunt for a Heavy Diesel Technician. CDS is a respected name in the transport industry across Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions. What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul truck components including engines, transmissions, final drives, air systems, and chassis components
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing
