Job description

Your expertise helps keep Australian and New Zealand agriculture moving

  • Meaningful work with real business impact
  • Diverse projects across the business
  • Modern systems and technology

We’re looking for a practical and hands-on Health and Safety Advisor to support our leaders and teams across Landpower in Australia and New Zealand. This role is all about making health and safety simple, effective and fit for our business.

About the role

You’ll work closely with our branches to provide advice, coaching and support, helping teams manage risk, respond to incidents, strengthen safety practices and build capability. You’ll play an important role in turning Landpower’s Health and Safety Management Plan and wider framework into practical day-to-day actions that support safe, consistent and effective operations.

  • Provide practical, timely health and safety advice and coaching to leaders and teams across our branch network.
  • Support the implementation of Landpower’s health and safety systems, processes, tools and improvement initiatives.
  • Work with managers and teams to identify risks, review controls and implement practical safety improvements.
  • Support incident and near miss investigations, including identifying contributing factors, corrective actions and shared learnings.
  • Coordinate workplace injury and return-to-work matters across New Zealand and Australia.
  • Support audits, reporting, training, safety communications and initiatives that build capability and strengthen our safety culture.
About you

We’re looking for someone who is practical, approachable and confident working alongside operational teams. You’ll be able to build trust quickly, provide advice that is clear and workable, and influence others through strong relationship partnering.

You’ll be organised, resilient and comfortable managing competing priorities across a multi-site environment. Most importantly, you’ll bring a hands-on approach, sound health and safety knowledge, and the ability to turn requirements into practical actions that support our people and our business.

  • Experience in a Health and Safety Advisor or similar role, ideally within a multi-site operational environment.
  • A relevant health and safety qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of New Zealand and Australian health and safety legislation (essential).
  • Practical experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, auditing, injury management and return-to-work processes.
  • A confident communicator who can coach leaders, engage frontline teams and explain requirements in plain language.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently, manage priorities and follow through on actions.
