Job summary

Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) is seeking a General Manager – Wealth & Insurance Partnerships to lead the CP&S portfolio. You will set the wealth and insurance strategy with partner-led growth, govern all products for fit-for-purpose value, and ensure strong customer outcomes and fair value while maintaining rigorous governance across design to retirement.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Experience designing and governing product lifecycles and customer outcomes.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Own product governance across CP&S and set standards for product owners.
• Set and deliver wealth and insurance strategy, expanding partner-led offerings.
• Define outcome measures, monitor performance, and address issues.
• Provide governance insight to Executives and the Board with data-driven views.
• Drive simplification by rationalising products and reducing complexity.
• Run partnership portfolio governance including renewals and exits.
