Job summary

WM New Zealand is hiring an Operator to operate equipment for processing medical and biosecurity waste in a safe, responsible manner. Full training provided and a buddy system to ensure safety and confidence on site.

You will load and operate bin lifters and conveyors, run Rotoclave steam sterilising units, unload sterilising units and move bins around the plant. A can-do attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• A great can-do attitude and willingness to learn. (All training will be provided)
• Forklift experience is desirable but not essential.
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Loading and operating bin lifters and conveyors
• Operating the Rotoclave steam sterilising units
• Unloading the sterilising units
• Foam washing and lining of bins.
• Movement of wheeled bins around the plant (up to 200kg)
• Some lifting of containers – up to 20kgs
• Palletising of export waste
