Job summary

Talent Connection NZ Limited is recruiting for a six-month fixed-term Chief Technology Officer to lead a complex, predominantly on-premises technology environment. You will manage legacy infrastructure, drive mandatory upgrades, maintain governance and compliance, and own technology risk.

You’ll operate hands-on while balancing day-to-day incidents with strategic improvements. We seek senior technology leadership experience in a complex corporate environment, with strong hands-on experience

Qualifications

Senior technology leadership in a complex corporate environment.
Hands-on management of on-premises and legacy technology.
Experience upgrading systems, reducing tech debt and handling outages.
Strong governance and risk management knowledge (SOC 2 II, ISO).
Commercial focus on budgets, licensing and supplier management.

Responsibilities

Lead IT and data services, providing hands-on leadership across technology, development, systems and digital solutions.
Maintain and upgrade a complex on-premises environment while balancing operations and upgrades.
Manage technology risk, security, privacy, business continuity and disaster recovery, including SOC 2 Type II.
Oversee technology suppliers, licensing, budgets and investments to align with business needs and risk appetite.
Collaborate with SLT and Board to resolve technology issues and maintain operational performance.
