Job summary

Talent Connection NZ Limited is seeking an interim CEO to lead a New Zealand technology, data and customer communications service provider for a six-month term. The role reports to the Board and owns commercial and operational performance.

The successful candidate will bring senior leadership experience, manage P&L and navigate regulated environments, while engaging senior stakeholders across multiple functions to drive strategic outcomes.

Our client is an established New Zealand service provider operating at the intersection of technology, data, and customer communications.

We are recruiting for a six-month interim CEO role. You'll report directly to the Board and own commercial and operational performance.

The successful candidate will bring proven leadership experience, manage P&L, and navigate regulated or governed environments. You're comfortable moving fast across multiple functions and confident managing senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Take a hands-on approach to the day-to-day commercial and operational performance of the business

• Provide leadership across people, finance, operations, technology, risk, privacy and business continuity

• Work closely with the Board to resolve issues, make decisions and maintain overall business performance

• Oversee financial performance, sales strategy, corporate customer relationships and commercial opportunities

• Chair key committees and ensure effective governance, communication and organisational accountability

About You

• Senior leadership experience across commercial, operational and technology-enabled environments

• Proven ability to manage finance, operations, and people functions simultaneously

• Experience within SOC 2 Type II, ISO or similarly governed environments, with an understanding of risk, privacy, security and business continuity

• Strong corporate customer experience and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders

• Extensive commercial and technical understanding, sound judgement and the ability to navigate complex business issues
