Job summary

OneStaff is seeking experienced Construction Workers to support residential, commercial, and civil projects across New Zealand. You will work with qualified tradespeople, assisting with a variety of activities, site prep, material handling, and tool operation.

This role offers consistent work, travel across NZ locations, and opportunities for skill development. Applicants should have at least 12 months hands-on construction experience, be fit for hands-on work, and willing to learn from

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months' hands-on experience within the construction industry.
• Experience across Building/Carpentry, Residential, Commercial, Civil, Finishing, General Site Operations.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform hands-on construction work.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, teamwork, and safety commitment.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Full Class 1 Driver Licence preferred.
• Own basic hand tools suitable for construction work preferred.

Responsibilities

• General building and construction work with tradespeople on site.
• Assisting builders, carpenters, and site teams.
• Supporting residential, commercial, and civil projects.
• Site preparation, clean-up and material handling.
• Operating hand and power tools.
• Loading and unloading construction materials.
• Following site plans and instructions.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
• Assisting with groundwork, formwork, and general site support.
