Job summary

OneStaff is seeking an experienced Construction Worker in the Bay of Plenty region to support residential, commercial and civil projects across New Zealand. You will work with skilled trades, assist with a wide range of site activities, and contribute to safe, efficient project delivery.

Ideal candidates have 12+ months’ hands-on construction experience, are physically fit, and can work well in teams. Travel across NZ and long-term opportunities may be available, with PPE provided and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months’ hands-on experience within the construction industry.
• Ability to work across multiple construction environments (Building/Carpentry, Residential, Commercial, Civil, Finishing Trades, General Site Operations).
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform hands-on construction work.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and ability to work in a team.
• Commitment to health and safety on-site and willingness to learn from tradespeople.

Responsibilities

• General building and construction work.
• Assisting builders, carpenters, and site teams.
• Supporting a range of construction activities across residential, commercial, and civil projects.
• Site preparation, clean-up, and material handling.
• Operating hand and power tools.
• Loading and unloading construction materials.
• Following site plans and instructions.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.
• Assisting with groundwork, formwork preparation, and general site support.
• Supporting construction teams with various duties as directed by supervisors.
