Job summary

The Portage Resort in Marlborough is seeking a Guest Services Manager (GSM) to lead the front office and Food & Beverage teams. This live-in, full-time fixed-term role runs from late September 2026 to early May 2027, with accommodation, meals, and internet provided at a minimal cost.

You will report to the General Manager and shape guest experiences at a stunning Kenepuru Sound location. We value strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Food & Beverage and/or Reception.
• Supervisory or Manager experience within a hospitality environment is essential.
• Determination to exceed customer expectation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Ability to think on your feet.

This is a full-time fixed-term position starting late September 2026 (flexible on date) until early May 2027 with an opportunity to move to another hotel within the group at the end of the season.The position is a live in position with accommodation, food, and internet provided at a minimal cost, the position is well suited to someone who enjoys the outdoors.
