BNZ is looking for an experienced Business Partner to work with local businesses in Nelson, building trusted, long‑term relationships and delivering tailored banking solutions.

You’ll meet customers in person, understand their growth plans, and connect them with funding and advisory options. The role emphasizes collaboration with specialists and active community engagement in the BNZ network.

Qualifications

• Experience working with business customers in banking, finance, accounting, or a related commercial environment.
• Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and long‑term value for customers.
• Knowledge of banking products, business lending, markets and industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Meet with new and existing business customers in the office and in the local market.
• Build trusted relationships by understanding each customer’s business, goals and challenges.
• Identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals and local activity.
• Support customers with funding needs, including business lending conversations for growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to deliver the right solutions for customers.
• Represent BNZ in the local market through business development and community connections.
