The Supply Co Group is growing and seeking a Group Business Manager to work with the leadership team, turn strategy into action, and bring structure to the business so that critical tasks move forward.
You will oversee performance, people, operations, technology, and growth initiatives across The Mortgage Supply Co, The Insurance Supply Co and The Wealth Supply Co, helping advisers and teams thrive and deliver value to clients.
Great businesses don't happen by accident. They happen because someone is paying attention to the people, the numbers, the systems, the opportunities and the details that keep everything moving forward.
The Supply Co Group is growing - and with growth comes more people, more opportunities, more moving parts and more to build.
We're looking for a Group Business Manager to work alongside our leadership team, turn strategy into action, bring structure to the business, improve the way we work and make sure the right things keep moving forward.
This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who enjoys business, people, growth and getting things done.
If you're naturally organised, someone who can see what needs to happen, take ownership and makes sure it gets done, we want to hear from you.
The Supply Co Group brings together our three growing businesses, all with the same goal - Helping New Zealanders make smarter financial decisions.
The Mortgage Supply Co | The Insurance Supply Co | The Wealth Supply Co
Together, our businesses provide advice across Home Lending, Commercial Lending, Asset Finance, Risk Insurance, General Insurance and KiwiSaver.
We're ambitious about where we're going.
That means continuing to grow our adviser network, develop our people, improve our systems and technology, expand our services and make it easier for our clients to access the right advice across all areas of their finances.
The Group Business Manager will play an important role in making that happen.
This is not a traditional operations role.
As Group Business Manager, you'll work closely with the leadership team across the group to keep the business moving forward.
You’ll have visibility across people, operations, recruitment, performance, technology, projects, business development and growth.
Some days will be strategic. Others will be very hands-on.
You might be working on a recruitment process in the morning, reviewing business performance in the afternoon and leading a technology or process improvement project the next day.
The common thread is simple: Make the business better.
You'll help identify what needs attention, work out how to improve it and make sure it actually gets done.
Work alongside leadership to monitor and improve overall business performance.
Develop meaningful reporting and insights to support better decision-making
Track key business initiatives, priorities and performance measures
Identify opportunities, risks and areas for improvement
Help translate the group’s strategy into practical actions
Bring accountability and momentum to key priorities
Support the leadership team across people and culture initiatives
Lead and improve recruitment processes across the group
Coordinate adviser and team onboarding
Help develop performance frameworks, role structures and development pathways
Support managers and leaders with people-related matters
Help create a high-performing culture where people know what is expected and have the support to succeed
Look for ways to attract, develop and retain great people
Oversee and continually improve the systems and processes that keep the group running effectively
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and opportunities to simplify the way we work
Improve workflows across teams and businesses
Ensure our advisers and support teams have the tools and processes they need
Help establish consistency where it adds value, without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
Use technology and automation to make the business smarter and more efficient
Work with leadership to identify and execute opportunities for growth
Support adviser recruitment and growth initiatives
Help develop new business opportunities, partnerships and initiatives
Look for opportunities to increase productivity, revenue and client value
Support the continued development of our broader advice offering
Help turn good ideas into commercially viable initiatives
You'll be the person helping make sure important things actually happen.
That could include:
CRM and systems improvements
Business process redesign
New business initiatives
Adviser onboarding and support projects
Group-wide projects
Business transformation
Events and strategic initiatives
New service or advice offerings
You’ll bring structure to projects, keep people accountable and make sure they move from "we should do that" to "it's done."
Our advisers are at the heart of the group.
A big part of your role will be making their jobs easier.
You'll work across the business to identify what is getting in their way, improve support structures and create systems that allow advisers to spend more time doing what they do best - looking after clients and growing their businesses.
You’ll also help ensure new advisers have a smooth path into the group, with the right systems, people, training and support around them.
We're looking for someone who is solutions focused, highly organized and naturally proactive.
You don't need to know everything.
But you do need to know how to figure things out.
You’ll likely be someone who:
Takes ownership without needing to be chased
Is comfortable working across multiple areas of a business
Can move between strategy and detail
Enjoys solving problems
Is confident working with people at all levels
Knows how to hold people accountable while maintaining strong relationships
Is commercially aware and understands the bigger picture
Loves improving systems and processes
Is comfortable with technology and data
Can manage multiple priorities and keep things moving
Communicates clearly and confidently
Isn't afraid to challenge the way things are currently done
Gets satisfaction from seeing an idea become reality
Experience in financial services, mortgage broking, banking or professional services would be advantageous, but not essential.
But we're not looking for a specific job title or career path. We're looking for someone with the capability, judgement and drive to help run and grow a business.
This is an opportunity to have genuine influence over a growing group of businesses.
You'll be joining at an exciting stage of our growth, with the opportunity to shape what comes next.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Be part of the leadership and direction of a growing Group
Have a genuine voice in how the business evolves
Bring ideas to life and see the impact of your work
Improve the way our teams, systems and businesses work together
Lead projects that make a real difference
Help create better experiences for our advisers, our people and our clients
Identify opportunities to do things better and make them happen
Work across three businesses, gaining exposure to different areas of financial services
As we grow, there will be plenty of opportunity for the role to grow with us.
If you're someone who loves business, people, growth and making things happen, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
We're looking for someone who doesn't just want to manage what already exists.
We want someone who wants to help build what comes next.
