Job summary

Dunedin Holiday Park is seeking a reliable Grounds & Maintenance Team Member for a live-in role in Dunedin. You will care for lawns, gardens and general maintenance to keep the park welcoming for guests.

The position is 32 hours per week with on-site accommodation provided, and some on-call duties to support guests after hours. Prior hands-on maintenance or gardening experience is preferred.

Grounds & Maintenance Team Member – Live-In Position

We are looking for a reliable, practical and hands-on person to join our team in a Grounds & Maintenance role at a busy holiday park.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping a property looking its best, and is comfortable carrying out a variety of maintenance tasks.

About the role

Working as part of our team, you will help ensure the holiday park is well maintained, clean, tidy and presented to a high standard for our guests.

Your day-to-day work will include a mix of grounds and general maintenance tasks, including:

• Maintaining lawns, gardens and outdoor areas
• General property and grounds maintenance
• Basic repairs and upkeep of buildings, facilities and equipment
• Painting and general property presentation
• Keeping communal areas and outdoor spaces clean, tidy and well presented
• Assisting with rubbish and recycling
• Responding to maintenance issues as they arise
• Other general duties required to keep the holiday park operating smoothly

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

• Practical, reliable and takes pride in their work
• Comfortable working independently and managing their own workload
• Happy working outdoors in all types of weather
• Physically fit and capable of carrying out a range of hands-on tasks
• Able to identify maintenance issues and find practical solutions
• Friendly and approachable, with a willingness to help guests when required
• Well organised and able to prioritise tasks
• Experienced in general maintenance, gardening, building or a similar hands-on role
• Previous experience in grounds maintenance, property maintenance, building, gardening or a similar role would be an advantage, but a practical attitude and willingness to get stuck in are just as important.

Live-in position

This is a live-in position with accommodation provided on-site, making it particularly well suited to someone who enjoys the holiday park environment and the lifestyle that comes with living on-site.

The position is 32 hours per week, with some additional on-call responsibilities. These duties are an important part of ensuring the park remains well supported for our guests outside normal working hours.

This is a fixed-term position through to 23 December 2026.
