Job summary

Scenic Hotel Group in Paihia (NZ) is seeking a Ground & Maintenance Assistant to support day-to-day upkeep of the property. This fixed-term role runs from September 2026 until May 2027, with a minimum 30 hours per week (or 15–20 depending on shift allocations).

You will repair buildings and furnishings, replace faulty items, assist with painting, and maintain outdoor areas, lawns and gardens. A Full NZ Drivers Licence is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with building repairs / maintenance and gardening required.
• Relevant trade qualification (appreciated but not essential).
• Full NZ Drivers Licence.

Responsibilities

• Repair buildings, furniture, fittings.
• Replace faulty items like light bulbs; install handrails, fittings, etc.
• Assist in painting as directed.
