Job summary

Rosewood Cape Kidnappers in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand, is seeking a proactive maintenance team member to join the Lodge operations. This hands-on role involves general property maintenance, vehicle duties, and supporting guest experiences.

You will need prior maintenance/handyperson experience, a can-do attitude, strong communication, and a commitment to health and safety. Flexible hours including weekends may apply as part of this beautiful coastal property.

• Maintain correct usage of Lodge plant and equipment and report malfunctions promptly
• Ensure the smooth running of all property equipment

This is a varied, hands-on role where you will need to be willing and able to pull your sleeves up and get stuck into electrical and maintenance projects as they arise. Reporting into our busy Maintenance Manager, this is an opportunity to combine your passion for a 'job well done' with your maintenance skills in the beautiful landscapes.

We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills to be the newest member of our hard-working maintenance team.

What you will do:

• General property maintenance
• Driving and cleaning company vehicles
• General Lodge repairs and maintenance
• Guest interaction and support where required (including assisting with luggage)
• Maintain the correct usage of all Lodge plant and equipment and report any malfunctions promptly
• To ensure the smooth running of all property equipment

What you will bring:

• Previous experience in a maintenance/handyperson position (trade qualifications will be an advantage)
• A friendly and approachable personality
• Can-do attitude
• The ability to multi-task, prioritise and organise
• An uncompromising attitude to Health & Safety
• A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• A full drivers licence and access to your own reliable transport
• Well presented and a good level of physical fitness
• Flexible approach to working hours (including weekends and public holidays)
