Job summary

Waitakere Resort & Spa in the Waitakere Ranges, West Auckland, seeks an experienced outdoor areas manager to maintain the grounds to the highest standard. The role involves grounds upkeep, pest control collaboration, and working independently to keep exterior spaces presentable.

The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable, and ready to perform maintenance tasks around the property, with competitive pay offered for the right experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in garden and lawn maintenance is an advantage.
• Ability to work well independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring neat and tidy grounds and common areas.
• Ensure grounds are mowed, trimmed and gardens are well maintained
• Maintain and assist with rodent and pest control plan and implementation
• Keep all tools and equipment well maintained and are secured after work
• Carry out maintenance around the resort when required, including painting and general maintenance.
• Water blasting the buildings on a regular schedule.
• Keep rubbish clean and tidy.
• Ensure grounds have been blown and are free of leaves
• Spray gorse or weeds when required.

Waitakere Resort & Spa is a locally owned Resort in the Waitakere Ranges in West Auckland. The Resort offers accommodation, conference venues, restaurant dining, high tea service on the weekends as well as relaxing guest facilities such as outdoor pool, day spa, gym and sauna.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate person to manage the outdoor areas of property and to ensure they are maintained to the highest level. Prior experience in garden and lawn maintenance is an advantage.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, hardworking individual with a passion for well-presented outdoor areas. Must have the ability to work well independently. We will pay a competitive rate for the person with the right experience.
