Job summary

Inkdrop, a Mount Maunganui-based design studio, seeks a talented Graphic Designer to join our small, skilled team. You’ll contribute across brand, marketing, packaging, publication, and web, delivering print-ready, pixel-perfect work with strong client collaboration.

You’ll bring a robust portfolio across print, digital, and web, 2+ years’ studio experience, and solid knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Residency in NZ or a valid NZ work visa is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience in a studio environment.
• Exceptional creative portfolio across print, digital, and web.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client expectations.

About the Role

Permanent | Full-time | Graphic Designer

Reporting to the Owners and Creative Director, you’ll:

• Work closely with our design team, bouncing ideas, sharing snacks, and crafting creative solutions

• Dive into projects across brand, marketing, packaging, publication, and web

• Help keep our work pixel-perfect and print-ready (QA is your happy place)

• Meet clients and see projects through from concept to final handover

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent)

• 2+ years’ experience in a studio environment

• Exceptional creative portfolio across print, digital, and web

• Sound Adobe Creative Suite knowledge (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

• Project management experience

• Strong communication skills - visual, verbal, and written

• Understanding of brand, visual identity, and publication design

• Eye for typography, colour, and composition.

• Sound knowledge of print and digital production

• Website builder know-how (Squarespace, Wix, WordPress)

• Skilled at presenting ideas and managing client expectations

Location & Other Info

• This role is based in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.

• Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.

• Our standard days and hours of work are Monday to Friday (8:30am to 5pm).

• The Minimum hours of work are 40 per week.
