Job summary

Find Recruitment in Island Bay (Wellington) is looking for a Design Specialist to deliver design across campaigns, collateral and brand consistency. You’ll collaborate with fundraising, education and engagement teams to create engaging communications.

The role covers publications, campaigns, and managing external suppliers. Framer experience is highly desirable; strong storytelling and visuals are essential for impactful messaging.

Responsibilities

• Act as the in-house designer, producing engaging publications, campaign material and marketing collateral.
• Support fundraising, advocacy and awareness campaigns across newsletters, brochures, website and social media.
• Work closely with Fundraising, Mission Partnerships, Education and Engagement teams.
• Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across communications and collateral.
• Identify internal and external communication needs and recommend practical solutions.
• Coordinate external designers, photographers, videographers, printers and other suppliers when required.
• Contribute to the annual strategic marketing and communications plan across digital and traditional channels.
• Monitor relevant industry activity and identify opportunities.
• Measure campaign performance and recommend improvements.
• Manage activity within agreed budgets and delegated authority.

Your new role: As the Design Specialist, you’ll provide design expertise across the organisation. This is a varied, hands on role where you’ll develop campaigns, create engaging collateral, manage brand consistency and help teams communicate effectively with their audiences.

Requirements:

• Strong graphic design capability and confidence producing professional marketing collateral
• Proven experience across marketing and communications
• Experience developing content for digital, social media and traditional channels
• Strong written communication and content creation skills
• Good understanding of branding and maintaining brand consistency
• Experience working with multiple internal stakeholders and competing priorities
• Ability to manage external creative and print suppliers
• Comfortable analysing campaign performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Collaborative, organised and able to work effectively in a purpose driven environment
• Experience in website design – experience using Framer is highly desirable.
