Job summary

The Salvation Army Johnsonville Corps in Wellington seeks a versatile Graphic Designer & Receptionist to be the face, voice and visual co-ordinator of our church and community. This full-time role blends design with client-facing duties and includes a food bank component.

You will manage promotions, website and social media, support office administration, and welcome visitors while upholding our mission and values. Salary starts at NZD 64,350 per year for 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled in verbal and written communication.
• Design and creative expertise.
• Experience with computers including Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Databases, email, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

• Designing and producing professional quality promotions and advertising material.
• Website and social media management including uploading and editing sermons and events.
• Design, maintenance and updating of digital sign and TV advertising.
• Provide secretarial, administrative and word processing services.
• Preparation of meeting leads, videos, audio files and sermon slides for Sunday Services.
• Provide a welcoming first impression for visitors to our site and to the team.
• Administration: room bookings, contracts, rosters and invoicing.
• Managing the food bank.
