Job summary

The Salvation Army Invercargill is seeking a part-time Community Ministries Receptionist to provide warm reception and essential administrative support for the Community Ministries team. You will greet visitors, manage inquiries, help connect clients with services and assist with bookings, while maintaining confidentiality and a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform reception duties and greet visitors warmly.
• Answer phone calls and emails; direct queries to appropriate contacts.
• Provide current and relevant information to visitors.
• Connect clients with appropriate staff and services.
• Maintain visitor/contractor logs.
• Keep reception and communal areas clean and tidy.
• Promote programmes and services to visitors.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Assist staff with client bookings and scheduling.
• Support team to achieve work goals and data entry when needed.
