Job summary
HFC: Structures is seeking a Graduate Structural Technician to join our Residential team in Auckland. This is a full-time opportunity ideally suited to a recent graduate or someone at the beginning of their career who is looking to develop their technical and Revit skills within a supportive structural engineering environment.
Working alongside our experienced engineers and technicians, you will assist in delivering structural design documentation for a wide range of residential projects,
Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in drafting, engineering or architecture
- Experience using Revit
- Familiarity with AutoCAD would be beneficial
- Interest in residential construction and building design
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation
- Good communication and teamwork
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage priorities
Responsibilities
- Develop 3D Revit models for residential structural designs
- Produce construction drawings, details, schedules using Revit and AutoCAD
- Translate structural designs into clear, high-quality documentation
- Coordinate structural documentation with architectural drawings and models
- Develop knowledge of residential construction methods, systems and detailing
- Work across a variety of residential projects from group housing to bespoke homes and multi-unit developments
