Job summary

Harper Smith Engineering Recruitment is partnering with an established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit an experienced Structural Revit Technician for the Auckland team.

You will work closely with structural engineers on commercial and industrial building projects, producing high-quality Revit models, drawings and coordinated documentation throughout the project lifecycle, with exposure to Australian projects possible.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' NZ experience as a Structural Technician.
• Strong Revit skills and ability to produce structural documentation.
• Experience in an engineering consultancy environment.
• Experience across commercial or industrial building structures.
• Understanding BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Relevant drafting or engineering qualification.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural drawings and documentation using Revit.
• Produce accurate 3D structural models and coordinated documentation.
• Work on commercial and industrial new-build projects.
• Collaborate closely with structural engineers and other disciplines.
• Support BIM coordination and BIM standards development.
• Coordinate documentation with architects, engineers and stakeholders.
• Deliver accurate, high-quality documentation to agreed project programmes.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• At least 3 years’ experience as a Structural Technician in NZ
• Strong Revit skills and experience producing structural documentation
• Experience within an engineering consultancy environment
• Experience across commercial, industrial or other building structures
• A good understanding of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination
• A relevant drafting, engineering or technical qualification
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

This would suit a Structural Technician looking to join a well-established team with a good pipeline of quality building projects and plenty of scope to continue developing technically.
