Cromwell Architectural Envelopes Limited is seeking a skilled Welder Engineer Fabricator to join our precast/construction team in Otago. The role focuses on welding and fabricating high-end metal components for roofing and cladding projects, both in our workshop and on site in Queenstown Lakes District.

We expect at least 3 years of welding and engineering experience, a relevant trade qualification, and the ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team, with strong drawing

• Tertiary qualification in welding or engineering preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
• Excellent knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Must provide latest police and medical certificates and a full/clean driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Welding & fabricating a variety of steel products using mild metal, aluminium and sheetmetal from drawings.
• Handling, cutting, and assembling steel, aluminium, copper, brass and other roofing & cladding materials.
• Experience in aluminium joinery fabrication, ideally with a relevant trade qualification.
• An integral part of the larger team producing quality work and ensuring good workflow to meet deadlines.

Architectural Envelopes offers distinctive roofing, exterior cladding, and interior finishes. Our products are used in architectural homes, commercial buildings and iconic buildings, designed to last for over 100 years.

About the Role:

We are offering a permanent full time position 30-40 hours per week to a Metal Welder/Engineer. You will be responsible for delivering high end architecturally designed welding and manufacturing projects in our sheetmetal workshop and on site in the Queenstown Lakes District, Otago region.

What you will be doing:

• Welding & fabricating a variety of steel products using mild metal, aluminium and sheetmetal from drawings
• Handling, cutting, and assembling steel, aluminium, copper, brass and other roofing & cladding materials
• Experience in aluminium joinery fabrication, ideally with a relevant trade qualification
• An integral part of the larger team producing quality work and ensuring good workflow to meet deadlines

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience in welding and engineering.
• A tertiary qualification in welding or engineering would be preferred
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
• Excellent knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills
• Work un-supervised, motivated and self-dependent
• Review procedures, processes and documentation
• Measure, cut and weld according to specifications, drawings and blueprints
• Maintain a clean and orderly work space
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills

• We offer excellent training where needed, competitive remuneration in line with experience, i.e. $37-$39/hour with a potential path for career growth and a great team environment.

We have 1 full-time permanent job available in our precast concreteproduction facility.
Minimum of 30hours per week, maximum of 40hours per week.
$35 - $40/ hr depending on ability and experience

The rule includes:

• Directly overseeing all staff working in casting yard.
• Uses shop drawings to set-out precast components.
• Box and form panels on casting and stressing beds.
• Operates forklift and telehandler.
• Install pre-fabricated reinforcing cages.
• Works with crane operators to demould panels from casting bed and stacking in racks.
• Assists with loading trucks for delivery to site.

• *Qualification is not required if the work experience requirement is met
• *Must provide the latest police and medical certifi cate, must providerecent drug test result, did not claim from ACC for the last 3 years, musthave a full and clean driver's license
