Job summary

Platinum Recruitment in Queenstown is seeking a Welder Engineer Fabricator for a permanent full-time role in our metal workshop and on-site projects. You will weld and fabricate steel, aluminium and sheetmetal to drawings, supporting roofing and cladding installations across the Queenstown Lakes District.

The ideal candidate has minimum 3 years welding/engineering experience, a relevant trade qualification preferred, and the ability to work both in a team and independently with strong

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience in welding and engineering.
• A tertiary qualification in welding or engineering would be preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
• Excellent knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
• Work unsupervised, motivated and self-dependent.
• Review procedures, processes and documentation.
• Measure, cut and weld according to specifications, drawings and blueprints.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work space.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handling, cutting, and assembling steel, aluminium, copper, brass and other roofing & cladding materials.
• Experience in aluminium joinery fabrication, ideally with a relevant trade qualification.
• An integral part of the larger team producing quality work and ensuring good workflow to meet deadlines.

We are on the lookout for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Welder Engineer Fabricator to stamp their mark on a well-established roofing and cladding business.

We are offering a permanent full time position 30-40 hours per week to a Metal Welder/Engineer. You will be responsible for delivering high end architecturally designed welding and manufacturing projects in our sheetmetal workshop and on site in the Queenstown Lakes District, Otago region.
