We are looking for a motivated and talented Graduate Architectural Designer to join our growing team and develop their career across residential architecture and property development.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who wants to gain practical, end-to-end experience—from initial concepts and design development through to building consent, construction documentation and site involvement.
You will work closely with our design and project team and have the opportunity to see how architectural design translates into real residential projects.
As a Graduate Architectural Designer, you will assist with a range of residential projects and support the team throughout the design and construction process.
Assist with residential architectural design and development
Prepare concept designs, floor plans, elevations, sections and 3D models
Develop architectural drawings from concept through to detailed design
Prepare documentation for building consent and construction
Assist with resource consent and planning applications
Produce and maintain accurate and coordinated drawing sets
Work with Revit, AutoCAD and other relevant design software
Coordinate drawings and documentation with engineers, consultants and contractors
Assist with material and product selections
Participate in site visits and construction meetings
Assist with responding to technical and construction queries
Review drawings and documentation for accuracy, consistency and completeness
Support the project team throughout the design, consenting and construction process
A recent graduate in Architectural Design, Architectural Studies or a related discipline
Passionate about residential architecture and design
Creative, but also practical and detail-oriented
Familiar with Revit and/or AutoCAD
Able to produce clear, accurate and well-organised architectural drawings
Interested in learning about the New Zealand building consent and construction process
A good communicator and team player
Organised, reliable and proactive
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Interested in both architecture and property development
Keen to learn and develop professionally
Previous experience with residential projects, building consent documentation or construction will be advantageous, but is not essential.
