Job summary

TransAm Wellington is seeking an Operations Freight Coordinator to support the coordination of international freight operations across imports, exports, airfreight, sea freight, courier and domestic transport. You will work closely with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines and transport providers to ensure smooth operations and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in freight forwarding.
• Understanding of import/export documentation and international freight processes.
• Strong admin skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and relationship-building with a customer focus.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments and process freight documentation.
• Liaise with customers, overseas agents, lines, airlines and transport providers to keep freight moving and resolve queries.
• Process bookings, prepare quotations, assist with job costing and invoicing.
• Arrange transport, collections and deliveries, coordinating drivers and carriers.
• Maintain shipment records and ensure compliance with customs and MPI requirements.
• Provide support to freight, warehouse and logistics teams.
