Job summary

Thewonderfulcompany in Wellington is seeking a Freight Forwarding Coordinator to coordinate import/export shipments, manage documentation and maintain excellent customer service. You will liaise with customers, overseas agents and transport providers to keep freight moving and resolve queries, while handling bookings, quotations and invoicing.

The role requires at least two years in freight forwarding, strong admin skills, and a proactive, collaborative attitude.

Qualifications

• Two years of freight forwarding experience.
• Understanding of import/export documentation and international freight processes.
• Strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communication and relationship-building with customers.
• Good time management and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and collaborate.
• Experience with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments and process freight documentation.
• Liaise with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines and transport providers to keep freight moving.
• Process customer bookings, prepare freight quotations, assist with job costing and invoicing.
• Arrange transport, collections and deliveries and coordinate drivers and carriers.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, job files and systems, ensuring compliance with customs/MPI requirements.
• Provide general administrative and operational support to freight, warehouse and logistics teams.
