Job summary

N4 Studio is seeking a Senior Finance professional to own the money side of its growth. Based in Auckland with fully flexible hours, you’ll manage global payroll, billing across retainers and projects, debtors, month-end, and tax prep.

You’ll forecast, report, and advise leadership on pricing, hiring, and cost decisions. You’ll work with Productive, Xero, HubSpot and Deel, ensuring alignment between billed work and contracts, while driving automation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Senior finance experience in an agency, professional services or SaaS business.
• Proven payroll experience across more than one country with employees and contractors.
• Forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting; turning numbers into recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting and budgeting: keep annual budget and rolling forecast current and cash flow updated.
• Monthly reporting: lead the monthly financial review for leadership.
• Payroll: run payroll across jurisdictions and handle contractor payments and leave adjustments.
• Billing and reconciliation: manage budgets in Productive and ensure invoicing matches contracts and time logged.
• Debtors: chase overdue invoices and manage disputes and credit notes.
• Month-end and tax: reconcile accounts and prepare GST and year-end information.
• Systems and process: own the finance tooling and automate processes.
