Job summary

MB Century Ltd in New Zealand invites a Senior Manager - Engineering to lead our global engineering function. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you will set strategic direction and governance across geothermal, hydro, energy, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

You will integrate NZ and international teams, lift technical standards, and develop new engineering service offerings while growing revenue streams and delivering safe, quality projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' engineering experience in heavy industry or related sectors.
• At least 5 years in leadership roles managing engineering teams.
• Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Process, Civil or Electrical Engineering; CPEng status desirable.
• Experience leading engineering organisations across multiple locations or countries.
• Strong commercial and business development experience with governance frameworks and best-practice design systems.
• Proven ability to lead organisational change and business transformation.

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver MB Century's global engineering strategy.
• Lead integration of NZ and international engineering teams into a single operating model.
• Custodian of engineering standards, technical quality and engineering assurance across the organisation.
• Oversee engineering delivery performance across all business units, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality.
• Lead development of new engineering service offerings across geothermal, hydro, energy, industrial and infrastructure markets.
• Manage engineering business performance, including revenue, utilisation, profitability and growth.
• Build a world-class engineering and design organisation, with structured development pathways for engineers and designers.
