About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer to join their remote team, focusing on the planning and interpretation of geotechnical investigations across various project sites. While the role is remote, you will be responsible for guiding field teams and analyzing complex subsurface data to inform foundation and construction designs. This position requires a deep understanding of soil mechanics and geological processes, coupled with excellent analytical and reporting skills, all managed from a remote setting. It's a unique chance to leverage your expertise in geotechnical engineering and contribute to critical projects without the need for physical presence in an office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and oversee geotechnical site investigations, including selecting appropriate testing methods and equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret geotechnical data from boreholes, CPTs, and in-situ tests.
  • Prepare comprehensive geotechnical investigation reports with clear recommendations for foundation design and site development.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to field technicians and site investigation teams remotely.
  • Liaise with project engineers and clients to ensure geotechnical findings are effectively integrated into project designs.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards and geotechnical best practices.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical focus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in geotechnical investigations and analysis.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software for modeling and analysis (e.g., PLAXIS, GEO5).
  • Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and engineering geology.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills for remote reporting.
  • Ability to manage projects and guide field operations from a distance.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and remote work allowance.
  • Comprehensive health insurance and retirement plan.
  • Opportunities for professional development and specialized training.
  • Flexible working hours and a significant degree of autonomy.
  • The chance to work on diverse and challenging projects nationwide.
