Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Geotechnical Engineer to join a remote team, focusing on planning and interpreting geotechnical investigations across project sites in New Zealand.

The role requires guiding field teams remotely, analyzing boreholes, CPTs, and soil models, and delivering clear reports with foundation recommendations. Proficiency in PLAXIS and GEO5, strong geology knowledge, and excellent written communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering with Geotechnical focus.
• Minimum 7 years of geotechnical investigations and analysis experience.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS and GEO5.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee geotechnical site investigations and select testing methods.
• Analyze boreholes, CPTs, and in-situ tests to inform designs.
• Prepare detailed geotechnical reports with foundation recommendations.
• Provide remote technical guidance to field teams and clients.
• Collaborate with project engineers to integrate findings into designs.
• Ensure compliance with geotechnical standards and best practices.
